 To Our Valued BRTR Patrons,

As many of you are well aware, On Saturday May 2nd and Sunday May 3rd Tennessee experienced torrential rainfalls that produced historical flooding in our region.  Many folks are experiencing devastating losses such as loss of life, loved ones and homes.  When you put it into perspective we are very fortunate and blessed to have only suffered damage that can be repaired over time.  As valued friends and patrons we felt it necessary to communicate to you the facts.  During times like these rumors can be more damaging than the actual act itself.

The Buffalo River Trail Ride did sustain damage to the lower campground during the flooding this past weekend. The good news is it was not so damaging that we cannot operate.  WE ARE OPEN and available to accommodate riders that want to come and ride/camp.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Memorial Day weekend or any organized ride please contact Toni in the office and she will assist you.

THANK YOU to the many individuals who have inquired and expressed a desire to help clean up the mess in the campground.  We have decided to have two organized work weekends for clean up and repair activities.  If you feel in your heart that you would like to come and help please contact the office and let us know.  Below are the dates:

May 15th – 16th – All Hands On Deck Debris Clean Up – please bring your own rakes, shovels, chain saws, claw hammers, crow bars, sledge hammers and necessary items to clean up trash, sticks, logs, trees, and everything imaginable that came down the river!  Muck boots and work gloves are recommended.

May 22nd-23rd – Specialized craft personnel to work under the direct supervision of Tim Aston.  These persons will be repairing structure damage so experience is important.  We will also need helpers to assist in the repair efforts.

If these dates do not fit into your schedule and you can come in during the work week, please let us know.

For those who have lost so much, we send our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to you and your families during this difficult time.  If there is anything that we can do for you, please contact us.

 With deepest gratitude,
